NFT Discord Scammers strike again but this time, fail to cover their tracks

Unfortunately, NFT scammers attacked the discord server of “Jenkins the Valet”. Along with this, the discord server of Fractal – a startup undertaking from Twitch, was also hacked where scammers stole $150K really worth of crypto.

Though crypto and NFTs are protected assets, other platforms linked with these projects remain inclined to hacking attempts by scammers.

NFT Discord Scammers: Are we safe and sound?

To commence, some hackers impersonated the admins of the “Jenkins the Valet” discord channel and posted a fraudulent wallet connection as a new wallet address for minting NFTs.

Unfortunately, some fell prey to this phishing fraud and hackers stole around 16 ETH. Just after some time, the account was restored by NFT organizers.

But a consumer referred to as @PunkGod69.eth brilliantly disclosed the hacker’s identity.

Apparently, he has a history in cybersecurity and sensed that anything was ‘fishy’. Thus, he acted as an trader and despatched the scammer a website link, which provided a screengrab control. As a consequence, he could see the hacker’s monitor, title, and on the web action.

On top of that, @PunkGod69.eth went on revealing the hacker’s identification as Andrew Alsid, together with his Spotify account and Twitter tackle. Genius isn’t it?
